MH Outlanders Adventurers: Roster, Weapons & Roles
Compare 14 MH Outlanders Adventurers by class, weapon and resource loop, with specific practice goals and clear limits on launch availability.
Which Adventurers are covered here?
This roster covers the 13 named Adventurers currently displayed on the official English website, plus the customizable Fated Adventurer described in launch guides. A public showcase is not proof that every character is obtainable on your account or server. Check availability in the live client before planning a recruitment.
Use the roster to identify weapon, class and resource loop, then use the homepage tier list to decide where to start. A Support label does not automatically mean healer, and two characters with the same weapon can ask for different inputs.

What each Adventurer asks you to learn
Fated Adventurer: your adaptable starting point
Role: Flexible. Weapon: Multiple weapons.
Keep the main character in your plans. Published launch coverage describes a flexible choice of weapon, element and class, which makes the Fated Adventurer a useful baseline before specializing.
Your first practice goal: A flexible kit still needs an appropriate weapon and investment. Compare at the same progression level; adaptability does not mean every loadout wins every matchup.
Midori: mobile fire carry
Role: Assault. Weapon: Long Sword.
Choose her for fire matchups and a reactive melee playstyle. Her faster Spirit Gauge generation rewards landing the right skills rather than repeating a long combo blindly.
Your first practice goal: Learn which approach leaves time to evade before committing to Spirit attacks. If you keep losing the gauge-building opportunity to dodges, a ranged carry may deliver steadier results.
The official profile describes Midori’s kit around evasive movement and faster Spirit Gauge gain from selected skills.
Rhodes: charged hammer specialist
Role: Assault. Weapon: Hammer.
Use Rhodes when you want an Ice option and enjoy building energy through charged attacks. His explosion gives the resource loop a distinct payoff.
Your first practice goal: Confirm where the opening ends before starting a charge. His setup asks for more planning than an immediate ranged hit, so practice the energy conversion first.
The official profile describes Rhodes’s kit around charged attacks, energy conversion and an energy-spending explosion.
Haze: gauge-aware dual blades
Role: Support. Weapon: Dual Blades.
An appealing support for players comfortable tracking Demon Gauge. In Archdemon Mode, certain actions can parry or spend gauge on Crimson Fang Slash follow-ups.
Your first practice goal: Separate the defensive use of a parry from the offensive use of a follow-up. Do not drain the gauge simply because the follow-up is available.
The official profile describes Haze’s kit around Archdemon Mode, situational parries and Demon Gauge-consuming Crimson Fang Slash follow-ups.
Ryunosuke: well-fed setup support
Role: Support. Weapon: Long Sword.
Consider him in a Fire-oriented squad. Eating in particular stances builds energy, and the Well-fed state makes Spirit Blade attacks stronger.
Your first practice goal: The setup is part of the cost. Learn the food-and-stance sequence outside a dangerous opening rather than trying to improvise it under pressure.
The official profile describes Ryunosuke’s kit around eating in particular stances, building energy and strengthening Spirit Blade attacks after becoming Well-fed.
Luxheart: heat and stance control
Role: Disruptor. Weapon: Great Sword.
A practical Disruptor to consider if you prefer Great Sword. Heat changes his stances, and some moves release stored energy in a barrage.
Your first practice goal: Judge the stance you can actually use during the next opening. Holding energy for an ideal sequence is wasted value if the monster moves before it lands.
The official profile describes Luxheart’s kit around Heat-driven stance changes and releases of accumulated energy.
Pyro: reactive great sword
Role: Assault. Weapon: Great Sword.
A situational carry for hunters who read incoming attacks well. His identity is enduring pressure and converting that exchange into powerful Great Sword blows.
Your first practice goal: Taking damage without a successful payoff is not a damage strategy. If you cannot identify the incoming move, choose a safer attack window rather than forcing the trade.
The official profile describes Pyro’s kit around enduring attacks and returning powerful Great Sword blows.
Keres: aggressive dual blades
Role: Disruptor. Weapon: Dual Blades.
A strong candidate for a Dragon-focused setup. Rapid chains and enhanced follow-ups reward staying on a productive part of the monster rather than chasing every movement.
Your first practice goal: Before investing around Dragon synergy, check the target and the rest of your squad. A specialist can lose value when the matchup does not support the element.
The official profile describes Keres’s kit around rapid chains and skills that unlock enhanced follow-ups.
Luka: ranged damage priority
Role: Assault. Weapon: Bow.
A practical carry to learn first if you prefer range. Thunder Coating and precise casts give you a clear improvement target: correct positioning and better timing.
Your first practice goal: Range does not remove stamina management. Compare him against a flexible Fated Adventurer on non-thunder matchups before spending scarce upgrades.
The official profile describes Luka’s kit around precise casts that improve Thunder Coating and coated arrows that send out piercing arcs.
Arkaya: shield and resolve support
Role: Support. Weapon: Lance.
Prioritize him when interrupted attacks or failed hunts are the problem. His attacks build Resolve; spending it can combine a powered strike with a large shield.
Your first practice goal: A shield is a window to act, not permission to ignore every attack. Compare shield uptime with the healing you give up by replacing Madelyn.
The official profile describes Arkaya’s kit around Resolve accumulated through attacks and skills that spend it for a powered blow and a shield.
Raya: stamina-driven dual blades
Role: Disruptor. Weapon: Dual Blades.
A workable Disruptor for players who enjoy fast close-range movement. Certain skills spend stamina to build her Demon Gauge faster.
Your first practice goal: Watch the resource you need to evade before accelerating the gauge. More gauge is not an improvement if the stamina cost leaves you unable to disengage.
The official profile describes Raya’s kit around agile movement and stamina-consuming skills that speed Demon Gauge gain.
Ouyang Varen: guard and impetus lance
Role: Assault. Weapon: Lance.
Choose him if a shield-led rhythm helps you keep contact with the monster. His guard tools and Impetus-powered thrusts offer a concrete loop to learn.
Your first practice goal: A successful guard and a productive counter are different things. Reposition after the block if the next thrust would hit an unhelpful part or miss.
The official profile describes Ouyang Varen’s kit around shield deflection, Impetus gain and enhanced thrusts.
Madelyn: broad support value
Role: Support. Weapon: Bow.
A useful early support when survival and consistent damage matter together. Her Spores can deal damage and boost nearby allies, so positioning around the target matters.
Your first practice goal: Apply Spores before the damage window and check who is close enough to benefit. Do not evaluate her by personal damage alone.
The official profile describes Madelyn’s kit around medicines, applied Spores and detonations that damage enemies while boosting nearby allies.
Pepper: airborne ranged disruptor
Role: Disruptor. Weapon: Heavy Bowgun.
Consider Pepper when you want a ranged Disruptor and an airborne firing pattern. Her value depends on whether those firing windows stay productive against your target.
Your first practice goal: Being airborne is not a universal invulnerability rule. Old beta clips can overstate her current damage and safety; compare the live kit first.
The official profile describes Pepper’s kit around ranged Heavy Bowgun shots and skills that enable rapid airborne fire.
Why Freya is not in the ranked roster
Gacha.gg lists Freya while marking her unreleased. The official English showcase inspected for this guide did not provide her profile. That is enough to avoid treating her as an obtainable launch recommendation, but it is not proof of global unavailability. We will add a kit-based recommendation after verifying a live source and acquisition conditions.
How to turn a roster into a short list
Start with the action you enjoy repeating: aiming and spacing, reading an incoming attack, building a resource, or timing a support window. Pick one Adventurer whose loop fits that action. Add a support whose benefit addresses a real failure in your hunts. Avoid building several characters just because they share a tier.
Read the squad-building decision guide for examples and the support comparison before replacing a healer with a shield provider.
